The Branch Family Institute (BFI) celebrated the end of National Supervised Visitation (SV) month with brilliant author and playwright, Melda Beaty. In collaboration with BFI’s “Spring Flavor” Ice Cream Social fundraiser, Ms. Beaty added some flavor to the event with a book signing of her enthralling 2012 novel Lime. Guests enjoyed delicious Oberweis sundaes for a good cause and had the opportunity to personally meet Ms. Beaty, hear her read a few intriguing excerpts and even purchase her novel. Lime is truly a captivating story of a young woman’s life journey that gives the audience insight into family dynamics, the notions of beauty and the bonds of friendship against Domestic Violence.
